Helpful Fishing Tips

Come as you are with a desire to fish! There are no prerequisites here. During catch & purchase fishing, you may find it helpful to bring a cooler with ice. Have some time prior to your visit? You can hone up on your fishing knot skills.

Here's our favorite knot that we use at the pond. You can practice it at home and be a pro at it!

The Improved Clinch Knot

1. Pass the end of the line through the hook's eye.

2. Pull several inches of line through and twist it around the line 5-6 times.



3. Pass end of line through small loop formed just above the eye.

4. Then pass through the big loop you've just created.

5. Pull the knot down against the hook eye and trim excess line.
